Andorra - Local government

Andorra is divided into seven parishes or districts: Andorra la Vella, Canillo, Encamp, La Massana, Les Escaldes, Ordino, and Sant Julía de Lória. Eligible voters in each of the districts elect members of its parish council (comú).

Parish councils administer local affairs. Each council generally consists of 8 to 14 members elected by universal suffrage for four-year terms at the same time as general councilors. Councils elect a senior consul and a junior consul.
