Reported malaria deaths include all deaths in health facilities that are attributed to malaria, whether or not confirmed by microscopy or by RDT. Deaths reported before 2000 can be probable and confirmed or only confirmed deaths depending on the country. Note: Deaths reported before 2000 can be probable and confirmed or only confirmed deaths depending on the country.
