Liechtenstein - Domestic trade



Liechtenstein and Switzerland are essentially linked in one common economic zone. The domestic economy is largely based on industry and financial services. The primary product industries are electronics, metal manufacturing, and medical precision instruments. About 48% of the work force are foreigners, with 29% commuting from Switzerland and Austria. Vaduz and Schaan, the chief commercial centers, have some specialty shops, but the smaller communities have only general stores. Regular business hours are generally from 8 AM to 6:30 PM . Normal banking hours are from 8:15 AM to noon and from 1:30 PM to 4 or 5 PM , Monday–Friday.
