Belize - International cooperation

Belize was admitted to the UN on 25 September 1981, four days after independence; during the late 1970s, the UN General Assembly had repeatedly supported Belize's rights of self-determination and territorial integrity, in contradistinction to Guatemala's land claims. Belize participates in ACP, C, Caricom, CDB, ECLAC, FAO, G-77, IADB, IBRD, ICAO, ICFTU, ICRM, IDA, IFAD, IFC, IFRCS, ILO, IMF, IMO, Interpol, IOC, IOM, ITU, LAES, NAM, OAS, OPANAL, UN, UNCTAD, UNESCO, UNIDO, UPU, WCL, WHO, WIPO, WMO, and WTrO.
