The country of Nepal is landlocked and located in South Asia. Himalaya mountain range runs through Nepal and is home to eight of the planets ten highest peaks. The highest peak in Nepal is Mount Everest. The climate in Nepal ranges from tropical to Arctic conditions on the peaks of mountains. Nepal is ethnically diverse as its landscape. The official language of Nepal is Nepali with over sixty percent of the population speaking it.

The Royal Bardia National Park is in the largest park in the lowlands of Terai. The park was first established in 1976 to protect the tiger and its prey. Now the park is home to over 200 species of birds and about 30 different types of mammals. The lush landscape also supports a thriving number of endangered species such as the Bengal tiger, wild elephants, and the Gangetic dolphin just to name a few. The Bodnath stupa in Kathmandu is one of the largest stupas in Nepal. The stupa is located just on the edge of the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. The museum showcases the life of the king and the importance of his reign in Nepal. The Tribhuvan museum houses an extremely rare collection of personal items, newspaper clippings, and photographs of the entire Royal Family. The most engaging exhibit in the museum, are of the jewel encrusted ornaments used in coronations and the replicas of thrones from past kings. This fascinating museum is a must for history buffs when visiting Nepal.
