The Berry Islands are a great place to go when looking for privacy. There are many small beaches and only having 700 residents gives visitors a great opportunity for privacy. Most of the islands are uninhabited and offer some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world. The Berry Islands have some of the best sport fishing, second only to Bimini. The islands are not overrun with tourists and this gives the visitor a chance to experience the natural sights and sounds of the island, with minimal intrusion.

The Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park is 65 miles southeast of Nassau and is the first land and sea park of its kind in the world. The animals in the park include; marine birds, iguanas, and a small animal called the hutia. The water part of the park is loaded with marine life. Here the visitor can swim among the many species of fish and coral. One of the highlight of Exuma is the many sea turtles that inhabit the reef. Visiting this park is a truly unique experience which combines interesting activities combined with education about the preservation and protection of the environment and animals.

Bird watching in the Bahamas can be an incredible experience. There are over 109 species of birds in the Bahamas. There are also 28 species of Bahamian birds not see in Canada, Europe, or America. The islands have sanctuaries, mangroves, ponds, wetlands, and native forests that attract many migratory birds. Tourists can hire a guide to take them into some of the remote areas on the island, giving them the chance to view some of the most interesting birds in the world.

The island waters of the Bahamas are home to both spotted and bottle nose dolphins. Many companies offer daily trips to encounter these majestic creatures. The warm clear waters in the Bahamas gives visitors a chance to swim and interact with the dolphins. This is one of the few places in the world that allows people to get up close to the wildlife and experiencing a once in a lifetime event.

Jeep tours are popular on the island of Grand Bahama. Many tour companies offer trips with a knowledgeable guides. The Jeep safaris allows visitors the chance to view the flora and fauna of the unique ecosystem. The shopping in the Bahamas gives tourists a chance to experience local craftsmanship and Nassau is the birthplace of the famed Straw Market. The Straw Market is a huge open air market place with stalls are brimming with all kinds of souvenirs and crafts. The market is best known for the straw woven items which are unique to the Bahamas islands.

The hotel offers many water activities, gourmet restaurants, and casinos. The Pink Sands is a luxury hotel located on Harbour Island. A vacation to the Bahamas is a memorable mix of historic charm, natural wonders and modern attractions. The Bahamas is home to one of the largest underwater cave systems, three national parks, enchanting marine life, pristine beaches and crystal waters, which all combine to give people the perfect vacation experience.
