For countries with a July to June fiscal year, the beginning year is used as the reporting year. The latest updates on these data are accessible in WHO's National Health Accounts (NHA) website (http://www.who.int/nha/en/). Total health expenditure is the sum of public and private health expenditure. It covers the provision of health services (preventive and curative), family planning activities, nutrition activities, and emergency aid designated for health but does not include provision of water and sanitation. Source: World Health Organization, World Health Report and updates and from the OECD for its member countries, supplemented by World Bank poverty assessments and country and sector studies.
