Trinidad and Tobago - Religions

Complete freedom and equality are enjoyed by all religious groups. Christian churches are found on both islands; Hindu temples and Muslim mosques in the recognizable architectural styles of southern Asia are found on Trinidad. According to official statistics last taken in 1990, the population is roughly 29% Roman Catholic, 31% Protestant, 24% Hindu, and 6% Muslim. Primary Protestant denominations include Anglican, Pentecostal, Seventh-Day Adventist, Presbyterian, and Baptist. A small number of people are believed to practice traditional Caribbean religions in conjunction with other faiths.
