St. Vincent and the Grenadines - Libraries and museums



The government maintains a free public library system with 260,000 volumes. The main library is in Kingstown, and there are 16 branches located throughout St. Vincent and on the larger Grenadine islands. There was one library affiliated with institutions of higher education in 2002, with a collection of nearly 12,000 volumes. The small National Museum in Kingstown houses ancient Indian clay pottery. The Botanical Garden in Kingstown is open to the public.
