Grenada - Energy and power



The government and the Commonwealth Development Corp. jointly operate a private company, Grenada Electricity Services, Ltd., for the supply and distribution of electricity throughout the island. In 2001, total installed capacity of electric generating plants was about 27 MW; output that year totaled 110 million kWh, all of which came from fossil fuels. Consumption of electricity was 102.3 million kWh in 2000. All primary energy consumption is from petroleum.
